Mahdi M Awwad, MD FAAFP
PHYSICIAN, MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Awwad graduated with his medical degree from St. Matthew's University School of Medicine in 2012. Following the completion of a family medicine residency in Cleveland in 2016, he headed to West Virginia to complete a Fellowship in Surgical Obstetrics and Maternal Child Health. During his fellowship, Dr. Awwad discovered his passion for empowering women to make informed choices in their health and wellness. After his fellowship, Dr. Awwad joined the academic ranking of the Family & Community Medicine Residency at UT Southwestern. There, he served as Director of Women’s Health and Obstetrics for the Family Medicine Department, as well as the Director of Faculty Development.
In 2022, Dr. Awwad made the difficult decision to leave academic medicine in pursuit of focusing on his patients' care. He envisioned a comprehensive, full-spectrum approach to healthcare dedicated solely to women. Bella Medical was born from this vision to provide a wide range of services and care to women throughout all stages of their lives.

When Dr. Awwad is not at the clinic, he enjoys hiking and riding bikes with his wife and four children.

Ms. Breshena Marshall is a caring and detail-oriented physician assistant, currently offering her services at Bella Medical, CARE FOR WOMEN, in Plano, TX. Ms. Marshall is skilled at assisting physicians in managing and treating various concerns, including hyperactivity disorders, anxiety, and skin problems.
As part of her education and training, Ms. Marshall received her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ms. Marshall ensures patients feel comfortable during appointments and helps them find and choose treatment plans that suit their preferences.
